Kylie Shaw and I have recently returned from the AERA 2012 conference in Vancouver. We presented some of the Australian findings from the Microsoft and NSWDEC sponsored research project ‘Innovative Teaching and Learning’. We were joined by researchers from the US, Brunei and Finland who are also participating in the project. Other countries not present include the UK, Indonesia and Mexico. It was fascinating to hear of the different learning contexts of each participating country and yet to find that we face many similar challenges in moving towards 21st century Innovative Teaching and Learning in our schools.
